Sometimes thoughts come whizzing through my mind. Sometimes they come over me like getting in a bath. Occasionally they will barely graze me or just give me a "hmm" but not stick around for storage. Then there are the thoughts that come slamming into my skull via my face. This is one of those. Right now my mind wants to debate the minutia of Disappointment vs Devastation. When is which appropriate and why. I need some clarity on this. The human mind really is complex.. or is it? Seems to me people who are not matured emotionally behave in 2 ways. Obvious or opposite. but when is which to come into play? The longer I am on this earth the more transparent people are becoming. And not just my coneys I mean I will size up the kid behind the counter at Taco Bell or the lady taking my change at the toll booth. When does she get devastated? If I tell her she is fat will she be devastated? Will it be met with the same intensity as if I told her her husband is cheating? What if I told her she was fired. What is Disappointing and what is a devastation .

Sometimes I feel like EVERYTHING is devastating. This is usually followed by a period where nothing matters. I think psychologically its considered avoidance due to being overwhelmed.

But I am thinking of making a list of events acceptable to be devastated over and events better left to the lighter disappointment that I can refer to when necessary

things to be Disappointed by:

- Canceled plans.
-ordering food and finding out they are out of it.
-a large cell phone bill
-car getting towed/ticketed
- a zit
-bad hair cut


things to be devastated by:

-death
-divorce
-fire
-terminal illness
-identity theft


Looking at my small beginnings of a list I am getting devastated just thinking about all of the disappointments happening at one time so I would have to make an amendment or clause stating if 6 or more events happen concurrently one may be escorted into devastation.

Ok.. I'm gonna go work on my list.. let me know if you have any suggestions.

Oh my lord... who watched this mylar debacle? Ok.. before I get started I need to organize myself... because there are some points I can NOT miss..

Ok.. Let's go in order... 1st off Hair at the VMA's... Now it is true I have never been nominated for a VMA... But I have gone to do my laundry with better hair than half these bitches. Is the economy THAT bad? Can rock stars and Hollywoods "it" crowd not afford a good 'ol fashion hair dresser? It is a sad day when Paris Hilton had the best hair. Well.. Ciara comes in on top too.. but everyone else need to stop by Chris McMillian and beg for help.





And that was just the beginning seeing those flat shitty weird hair flops make the arrivals.. it got worse... the "set" what? I am confused.. wasn't this filmed at the Paramount lot in Hollywood? My head is spinning.. movies are filmed there..they can transform this space into ANYTHING sky's the limit. They can make that very sound stage look like ancient Rome or Grandma's kitchen or La Cage Aux Falls but for christ sake who got ahold of the mylar? Did my 6 year old cousin get hired as the set decorator? I really hope they didn't pay somebody to create that mess. No podiums... Just people milling around the mylar and folding chairs. Yes folding chairs. It looked like a DIY wedding of 2 high school theater teachers designed by the students. They should have taken the money they spent on Sway in the whirly bird and hired some professionals or at least art students. It was embarrassing. I guess they didn't want to throw down some cash on an awards show for something irrelevant to the network.. I mean they don't even play videos anymore. They would have been better off doing a reality show awards ceremony cause thats all they have now. Don't get me started.

Ok, Rihanna.. She came out in a giant mad max cake lookin like Flava Flav and Brigetet Nielson had a baby 19 years ago. . Not into the creepy thriller dancing either. Rihanna is cute and she can sing. I like her... but this... fire whoever was responsible please.







Speaking of Brigette... Pink might wanna take a look in the mirror... its a slippery slope! And a sloppy decollete isn't helping matters. Is Pink even relevant? That song really sounded like an 8th grade slam book. Wow. BOOBIES.





OK.. 'Lil Wayne... your head is enormous. And all that hair makes it look even more generous.




Its time to pull up your pants and get some smaller hair. We do not want to draw the eye to the short stature of your legs sir. And when your inseam starts at the knee your legs look even shorter. I want to see some tighter pants in RAP!!! Some of those hotties have killer glutes my vote is with some more form fitting pants... Rap needs a make under.. ATTN : I am available for styling.








Folding chairs.. we covered in the "set" portion of this blog... It just looked like a backyard wedding. Tacky MTV... tacky.

And finally.. Britney Spears. Lord child... I thought she was gonna open the show.. WITH A SONG. Not an uncomfortable skit. I though she was performing and what a let down when she just "opened" the show with a sentance. SNOREZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ.

Ok thats it.. as you can see I was less than impressed. MTV might want to start saving now for next years show so this doesn't happen again. Low budget mess.

Hey Squirrels!!!
Ugh!!! It has been a long loooooooooooooooooooooooong month. There are not enough letter o's in long to articulate my level of fried. We shot the entire magazine PLUS 2 editorials for other magazines. PLUS getting ready to show the new line at the trade show in Vegas. Which (in case you don't know) requires designing and producing many samples. Many many samples. Too many samples.

My face hurts.

We had so much fun!! And usually I don't like to show the line before the show but... this new SATIN JACKET oh lord I am excited about this!!! I mean.. what SUCKS is it's gonna be expensive... Please don't yell at me.. I wanted it to be embroidered and nice so it cost a lot to make!!! So shut your pie hole and save your clams if you like it.

I am tired. I don't want to be, and it's so fucking hot here in LA today. My computer says it's 84 but it feels like more. Anyhow, I have been so freeking busy since I got back from my little warped tour adventure. I might not have processed my jet lag yet...

We shot a fucking epic editorial for Savage Magazine on Thursday. Audrey and I were all decked in Lipstick Prophets sweating (out door shoot) The issue doesn't come out until December.. i'll keep you posted.

Then Last night we shot a moody editorial for LP Mag. It was the 1st of many more shoots to come (gotta fill a 16 page magazine ugh!). Courtney Savage and I were dressed nearly identical ... I love night time shoots.. such a different vibe when the energy of the city calms.



We have been out of our minds at LP getting ready with the new collection. We REALLY kicked it up a notch for the winter collection. It still has LP flavor but it is different.. you'll seeeeeeeeeeee... it's fucking RAD and I am so excited. I want to wear every single sample as soon as they are finished! You all will be able to wear them yourselves but not until October... seems far away but it will be here in a beat.
The LP magazine will be available september 1.... Holy SHIT!!!

I forgot Blogday last week... Things are a little screwy over at the compound...(compound radio that is) The kitchen from which we wow you is a bombed out rat toilet as of late... and that is why last weeks Leave Your Weave show was canceled.. booooooo! I had a very upstate NY feel... LOVE IT!!

Then on my B-day we had a dinner at a Buddhist vegan restaurant... SO GOOD!.. especially the ENGRISH that was in full effect... please I hope you enjoy as much as i did!
